Not initially, the game comes with a free month. If you want to continue playing after that month, you can either pay online or by buying one of those cards.

If you want to buy playing time, yes. To play the game you need playing time. You can, however, purchase playing time online with a credit card instead of the prepaid card.

When purchasing World Of Warcraft you do not have to purchase the “little card thing” also. When you have finished installation and set up your account they will ask you whether or not you want to pay with a time card or a credit card. You can just choose the credit card option and pay via credit card. You can choose how many months you want to pay for at a time, I do believe it is either 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. Depending on which one you choose (it doesn’t really matter you don’t save money by picking 6 months over 1 month) they will automatically charge your card after each time period. Hope that helps.
